PRESS RELEASE

Cambric CEO to Extol Virtues of Small Business at the 29th Annual Utah Air Force Association Focus On Defense Symposium

Utilization of Small Business Expertise Provides an Effective Way to Meet Legacy Data Challenges and Solves Many Sustainment Issues

LAYTON, UT– Timothy Hayes, CEO of engineering services provider, Cambric Corporation, is slated to speak at the AFA Focus On Defense Symposium, Tuesday. He will explain ways in which small businesses can help Government Contractors to resolve legacy data problems associated with sustaining weapon systems that have been extended beyond their original life expectancies. Mr. Hayes points out that small businesses can fill in gaps for Primes who have less interest in the cumbersome work of bringing old data surrounding aging assets into the world of 3-dimensional model based definition.

”Small businesses, such as Cambric, are agile and geared to efficiently parse the complex problems that are particular to conversion and obsolescence management. We bring Primes process oriented, cost-effective ways to handle the data modeling tasks that allow their resources to focus on core responsibility and programs,” Mr. Hayes says.

This year’s symposium theme is “Integrated Life Cycle Management: Enterprise Support to the Warfighter – Strategies”. The conference will focus on strategies for weapon system program integrated life-cycle management (ILCM) while discussing the organizational links and decision making structure required to provide more program discipline and stability from “cradle to grave”. Air Force leadership will share their perspectives on the organizational and process priorities and challenges for ILCM success.

According to Mr. Hayes, the need for bringing old data into the realm of new ILCM systems is paramount to meeting the performance initiatives that the Federal Government has mandated. “Bringing old engineering data into ILCM implemented for aging assets will lead to shortened maintenance cycles and increased asset readiness. In effect, data readiness improves asset readiness which is key to our national security.”
