Time Line
1989
- Cambric Graphics Ltd. is formed by Derek Smith and Marc Hansen.
- Cambric offers document conversion services transforming legacy drawings into intelligent CAD files.
- Cambric also offers CAD Tool Service –subletting engineering workstations and applications to clients.
1993
- Cambric Graphics Ltd. becomes Cambric Graphics Inc.
1994
- Cambric joins PTC Cooperative Software Program.
1995
- Cambric Graphics, Inc. is renamed Cambric Corporation.
- Cambric wins Bell Canada Contract ($15 million) to convert AM/FM GIS maps.
1996
- Cambric receives its first paid order from a division of General Motors for 3D Solid Modeling.
- Timothy Hayes becomes President and CEO of Cambric, and is appointed to the Board of Directors.
- Nature of operations is conversion services primarily to industrial and governmental organizations in North America by utilizing international subcontractor work force and proprietary software to produce intelligent CAD computer files.
1997
- Cambric secures Romanian production facility in Brasov.
1999
- Second production site added in Cluj, Romania.
- Romanian capacity is doubled.
- Cambric enters into long-term contract with Delphi Automotive for data migration and collaborative engineering services.
- Cambric renews and strengthens partnership with PTC as a Certified Engineering Provider.
- Cambric becomes Unigraphics User’s Group, Tier 1 partner.
- Cambric shifts its focus into collaborative engineering with its cost-effective, scalable, highly-trained engineering resource.
2000
- Cambric begins its first long-term conversion contract with Caterpillar, Inc.
- Cluj production facility closed.
2002
- Cambric is awarded NASA feasibility study contract.
2004
- New engineering center is opened in Criaova, Romania.
- Cambric achieves revenue growth of 62% over prior year.
2006
- Cambric Consulting, SRL receives ISO certification.
2007
- CCR celebrates its 10th Anniversary.
- Cambric acquires Wakefield, MA production center from CDI.
2008
- Cambric Corporation receives ISO certification.
