Finite Element Analysis

Cambric Provides Meshing and Analysis in Various Areas of Expertise

Cambric's FEA department is one of the best around. We have invested in top people and software to provide our customers with a full array of FEA services to meet almost any need.

Mechanisms and Mechanical Systems Simulations

Cambric can support customer organizations with mechanisms simulations, from the simplest configurations (rigid body components with simpler joints) up to more complex ones, including joint friction, flexible bodies, or contact between components.

Structural Analysis

Cambric offers structural analysis services from the simplest level—Normal Modes and Static Linear analysis—up to highest level of complexity and sophistication: time and frequency transient analysis, nonlinear analysis involving contact, large displacements and strains, material inelasticity and plasticity. On top of this we can provide advanced fatigue life analysis, starting from real life loading conditions or from numerically simulated ones.

Thermal Analysis

Thermal analysis represents another strong capability among the analysis services provided by Cambric. We can simulate steady state or time transient conditions, linear or nonlinear configurations, including temperature dependent material properties and radiation.

Special Analyses

Cambric can support customer organizations with metal forming analysis (slab rolling, deep drawing, forging, profiling and extruding) as well as crash, impact and drop test simulations.

Meshing

Cambric can build Finite Element Models (FE Models) starting from original geometry, using all appropriate types of Finite Elements, employing the proper connection between them: Lumped Masses, Beams, Shells, Solid Elements. The FE Models can be delivered as “rough” FE Models (only nodes and elements) or ready to run FE models, adjusted for the solver of choice. Cambric has extensive experience in automotive and off-highway industries.
